Abby Sunderland- Praying for you

I was fortunate to be on hand when Abby set off on her quest to round the world non-stop. It was one of those really celebratory and scary moments when everyone there realized that it was exciting, and also a near impossible task.

Unfortunately all our fears are happening and we can only hope and pray that she will be found in time and that she is ok.

Like all things in life, if there isn't some risk, is it really much more than a chore?

Here are some shots from the day that she set sail.

More Flowers, I think?

Every where I look I see flowers, I think I still have spring fever.
Here are some photo's of "Mackenzie and Stella" that were taken for Getty Images.

My revenge on nature!

It has been a spectacular spring as my allergies prove. So I decided to get back at nature and grab some of the local flora.

These were from the Green belt out my back door.

Beer Girls Rule

Just got a copy of the Westside Magazine in which I shot my new heroines, girls who like beer (they wrote the book "The Naked Pint"), and I don't mean those ones you found on the floor at last call. I mean girls who actually like it and drink it because of it's taste and not that it is what the boys bought.

Mr. Tamborine Man

I few weeks ago I was lucky to be able to photograph the original Mr. Tambourine (Bruce Longhorne) man that Bob Dylan immortalized in song.
A musician himself (guitar player even with missing digits), and now a hot sauce purveyor and all around good guy.

Thanks Bruce.

Digital, Colour, Daguerreotype

An oxymoron I know but I miss the feeling of the old way of making photograph's

Still life of flowers for my wife.
