New skate park? Yeah! Carmegeddon
Los Angeles had a new skatepark this weekend, well almost.
What is more California than a skateboard and a freeway?
Not this way

An old location revisited
I originally shot at this location almost 20 years ago, was surprised to find it was still in existence and maybe in a little better shape.

Then and Now- Still Lifes
I've had this personal project going on for a while, mainly in my head, but every once in a while I make the concrete and photograph them.
I love the idea of just simply describing the object and then letting the audience put the connections together, no fancy lighting, just plain and simple descriptive photographs.

Sunday and the iPhone
On a grey Sunday morning, Cindy and I decided to see what we could do with the iPhone and its video feature.
Cindy's a great art director/stylist/model and sport.
I hope you enjoy the result.

What Happened to B/W
I was looking through my photo archives the other day and realized that since converting to digital I had completely abandoned shooting and printing in B/W.
What a mistake.
So here are some new photographs.

The LACMA Rock
A little late on this post, but oh well.
Went out to see the "Rock" on it's way to the Los Angeles County Art Museum. It was a rolling party.

Don't Panic, Go Organic
I know that's trite and maybe dumb, but I was looking in the fridge the other day, and low and behold the muse got up and bit me in the butt.
I had these really nice Gold Beets, that I know I will probably never cook but I thought they looked so good that they needed to be photographed.

Rainy Day Scanning
With no excuse to go outside, I finally am sitting down at the scanner and digitizing some of my older work.
Cindy I went to Yellowstone a few years ago to shoot a travel story for the AAA of Southern California Magazine. Here are a couple of prints I found from the story.
Hot Springs
Buffalo at Old Faithful
Me chasing buffalo while Cindy was at the car yelling for me to leave them alone.
I didn't realize how dangerous and unpredictable they are. A park employee had just been gored earlier that week.
